ACRO YOGA
Where the yoga fun begins!

Have you ever “flown” a child up on your feet while lying down on your back? That’s the basic idea of acro yoga! Acro yoga refers to partner and group poses that help people practice a sense of trust, connection, interdependence and fun.

AcroYoga.org describes it this way: "AcroYoga blends the wisdom of yoga, the dynamic power of acrobatics, and the loving kindness of healing arts. These three lineages form the foundation of a practice that cultivates trust, playfulness, and community.”

I fell, literally and figuratively, for acro yoga in the fall of 2013. Over the past seven years, I have spent countless hours playing with old and new friends and enjoying our acro yoga mantra: “lift people, not weights.”
I have been sharing the joys of acro yoga at retreats and jams for years, and completed my acro yoga teacher training in 2017. I teach Acro Yoga Workshops at several local studios -and I’m happy to lead beginner acro yoga classes for private groups by request.

While pictures and videos of acro might seem intimidating for some, I assure you that many poses are a lot more accessible than you would think. So rally your courage, step to the edge of your comfort zone and come out and play!
Lynne's positivity and inclusiveness drew me into acro and
continue to inspire me whenever we play together.
